I have been brought up in a family where all are professionals . The working class so to say . So our meals were very matter of fact kinds. Even then appacha the head of our family made it a point to have a proper sit down meal together atleast once during the day . Generally its dinner . We would tell each other of our days proceedings ! This way our bonds are strong ! And we were all on the same page. I do associate with enough people to state a disheartening fact being the lack of communication . An average family consists of lets say a father ,a mother and two kids . These four members dont know whats happening in each others lives though they stay under the same roof ! The smaller the families are getting the weaker the bonds they are sharing ! Lack of communication is forcing young adults to turn to social media for expressing themselves! This generally leaves young adults disillusioned and lonely!

ReplyDeleteI appear to have removed my original comment accidentally... (am not very technical). Anyway, I wanted to say that I enjoyed reading this post and it reminded me of when Sabu and I visited you and your family nine years ago during my very first trip to India. It was clear to me then that you were a close family who cared about each other deeply. Your home felt full of love and warmth and you all made me feel very welcome. Thank you xx
