The loud crass girl finally fell prey to being calm. It had to happen. Else the burnout. Which doesn't mean I don't hassle at moments but yes being calm has helped me get back to things I took for granted. Sitting on my little stool which barely manages my weight I was getting my hair oiled. The champi! Years earlier my gran did it regularly for me! Thanks to my Malayali genes I am endowed with super curly hair! Which is pretty for everyone else but takes a lot of maintenance! Gran took some homemade oil and gently detangling my hair applied the same. Generally I used to get agitated at each tangle but this time around I was calm. Not only today but yes for over a week. It helps when you have someone asking you regularly to calm down by being all ears. Surrounded by more greenery and less noise has done its deal! This generation believes in quick response! Thanks to the vivid apps, everything happens within a given time. However I ask what's the hurry. I suppose that's why there was no depression in the earlier generation! They never hurried through things! They had no deadlines to meet. No major targets to achieve! They were humans! They made things work at their own time and pace! They caught up with people in the bank, grocery market and made some pleasant and sweet exchanges which they still cherish. Probably taking things a bit slow helps in every sphere be it work, driving, relationships and the like! Thanks for the eye opening remark you made the day when some sense prevailed RGV! I wish there are more such besties like you in everyones circle who reads this! God bless!
