Who doesnt like being loved ?? The feeling that you belong to someone is great ! I am blessed to have such a person in my life !! My first love is my mother ! Of course we do have our Tom and Jerry moments but ultimately she is my first love closely followed by my aunt and sissy! My first crush if I remember well was and trust me is still R Madhavan ( actor). I still celebrate his birthday on June 1 every year with the same fervour and vigour as my own . I just loved him !!!!!!The way he looked, the way he spoke .... Gosh ! Gave me weak knees , felt as if the wind played with my hair more the way shown in bollywood movies! This is time and again replaced by droolsworthy actors in the industry .. Some for their voice , some for their bodies and most for their wit!! During my teens so to say I had many one sided crushes only to realise the other person never even gave me a fleeting thought!Of course now when I think back I do grin to myself ! I had been paired up with my seniors and all but none turned out true! So i started romancing men in the novels I read ! Story which was tailor made and fitted to my specifications ! It worked well !! And of course my moms such a darling .She cheered me up every Valentines by gifting me things ! Heart shaped soaps , new clothes , jewellery ! She set such high standards that finding a man who treated me like a princess was actually quite tough ! To console my heart once a friend of mine said " you need to kiss a few frogs to find your prince charming " !! Another friend of mine said " Dont worry your prince charming may have lost his way ! Instead of making him work extra why dont you do the honours ! Help him out " .

Ohana !!!
I have been brought up in a family where all are professionals . The working class so to say . So our meals were very matter of fact kinds. Even then appacha the head of our family made it a point to have a proper sit down meal together atleast once during the day . Generally its dinner . We would tell each other of our days proceedings ! This way our bonds are strong ! And we were all on the same page. I do associate with enough people to state a disheartening fact being the lack of communication . An average family consists of lets say a father ,a mother and two kids . These four members dont know whats happening in each others lives though they stay under the same roof ! The smaller the families are getting the weaker the bonds they are sharing ! Lack of communication is forcing young adults to turn to social media for expressing themselves! This generally leaves young adults disillusioned and lonely!
Malayali ho to christian kaise??
To be honest most people mix these facts up big time. Do they forget one is region and the other religion. When I mention I am a malayali christian they think my mom wears a smock at home with a rather fancy name and we drink always! To add to it we are born carnivores ! Bizarre isnt it! If only I mention my uncle is in Dubai read Dufaiii ! Then he is an assembly line worker , surviving on one dirham meals , staying with other bachelors in a rented accomodation . While in reality its quite the opposite. To break the stereotypical thoughts is tough ! Why not enjoy it when people say such things and mentally prepare yourself to talk to them at their level. The way they understand ! Did I just sound snobbish !

Defending the malayali in me
I have been raised in a very non malayali manner. I hail from Kerala , land of spices and breathtaking places! Kerala for me has always been a holiday place. Its lush green foliage is absolutely welcoming . The lack of greenery and water in Delhi gets me crazy by the time I reach Kerala. Moms eco friendly home is a dream stay ! You can see trees bending with the weight of the fruits. I was amazed when none of my cousins so to say appreciate that. They like that oily kerala halwa which is so artery clogging ! The other thing that catches malayalis are their fascination for gold! They can manage to make the best of all brides look so grotesque with the distasteful gold jewellery pieces ! To add to the misery the saris often given to the newly weds are so glitzy ! Gosh they burst the eyes of the others! Malayalis and their love for coconut is well known for ! They smell of coconut oil ! They literally put so much on their hair that the hair basically sticks on the scalp and a minimum of ten fritters or pakoras can be made in them . The other common observation is post bath the creases of talcum powder read Cuticura or Yardley on their necks! However ,they are I am a proud malayali not malayalam or madrasi ! For all who think madras is all that exists below MP ! I pity you ! There are four states! I am proud of being taught Kathakali and mohiniattam! And mind you we dont speak unga punga ...we speak malayalam and not Kerala! And for Christ sake we dont eat idli everyday that too on a banana leaf! We eat things that others eat and that too on plates !
